Slash's stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight's cause of death has been revealed.
The ChainkeenGuns N' Roses lead guitarist's stepdaughter died by suicide on July 19 at the age of 25, according to information released by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office,
Two days after her death, Slash addressed Knight's death on Instagram in a post also shared by Knight's mother, Meegan Hodges, saying that "she passed away peacefully" in Los Angeles. The post read: "Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer and a charming, lovable, sweet soul."
In the post, the family requested "that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”

According to the post, Knight, who was born on Dec. 6, 1998, was the “beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson."
In an obituary, the family called Knight "unforgettable, uninhibited, fearless, vibrant, inquisitive, creative, loving, caring, funny, smart, clever, and beautiful," adding that "Lucy's laughter was contagious, and her smile would light up a room, she loved deeply, and was loved by all."
The obituary continued: "Lucy inspired everyone she met to have the confidence to share their art, to be their authentic selves, and she was a champion for all vulnerable people."
The family asked that instead of flowers, that donations may be made to the National Alliance of Mental Illness.
On July 27, Slash took to Instagram to memorialize his late stepdaughter again and address the grief from her death, writing on Instagram that his "heart is permanently fractured."
"I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been. & still are. The brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you so much," Slash said. "I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now. I will love you eternally."
